Poetry

Of all the creative writing my younger self would never have considered liking, poetry definitely takes the cake. Only beginning in college did I really start to explore — and appreciate — this form.

And it’s nice. It’s freeing. Whereas my essays, prose, journalism, and blogs tend to focus largely on the outer world, these are much more introspective — digging a lot into senses of place, home, memory, and inner relationship to the outside.
