Thesis

A passion project. A graduation requirement. Sometimes a pain in the a**. All throughout my final semester of undergrad, I worked to complete an honors thesis for my Global Studies major. After countless hours of research, writing, hair-pulling, revising, hair-pulling, and polishing… here is the finished product!

Click on the below image to access a PDF of my thesis, which combines creative writing (“dispatches”) from studying abroad in Senegal with more traditional scholarly interludes centered on several main topics: neocolonialism, exploitative capitalism, socio-ecological crises, and the unsustainability of a global economic model underpinned by them.

It’s a fitting capstone to all I’ve learned and done in my undergrad career, and I hope you enjoy it.
